Raúl Lora del Cerro has a degree in Physical Education and the UIAGM International Mountain Guide qualification. He works as a mountain guide, guiding clients in almost all the mountain ranges in the world, and also as instructor, teaching courses about climbing and mountaineering. Raúl has climbed to the most significant summits of Spain and the Alps, and has taken part in several expeditions to the Andes, the Himalayas, Caucasus, Patagonia, Yosemite, Alaska, Greenland and Africa.

He worked as Director of Studies in the Mountaneering School of Benasque, coordinating the training of other mountain guides. Currently he lives in Hoyos del Espino, in the heart of his beloved Sierra de Gredos, where keep on guiding and teaching in the Escuela Alpina de Gredos (Gredos Alpine School), of which he is the Technical Director.

Raúl has achieved that he believed just a chimera in his adolescence, to live by and for the mountains. From apprentice mountain guide to instructor of future alpinism professionals at the highest level. And, in the way, years of study to obtain the maximum qualification to which aspire every guide; hundreds of routes, walls and summits; thousands of kilometres on his back to make his dream a reality.
